There is no requirement, however, to have the sermon (khutbah<\/em>) delivered.<\/span><\/p>\n Imam An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him), the great Shafi\u2019i jurist, states, “Two views have been transmitted [in the Shafi\u2019i School] on whether the Eid prayer is legislated for a slave, traveller, woman and a person praying alone at home or elsewhere.
