House of trials…<\/p>\n

We are in this life, \u00a0in the abode of ibtila\u2019<\/em>, not steadiness<\/p>\n

What is meant by ibtila\u2019<\/em> Dr? It means trials and tests<\/p>\n

Isn\u2019t it about t punishment? No way! There are two distinct meanings:<\/p>\n

The popular meaning which is negative; when we say that \u2018someone who was tested with poverty and he passed it; i.e. he refrained from asking\u201d<\/p>\n

Meaning he was tested with poverty and he patiently endured it, didn\u2019t beg of people, and worked hard. Another one may be tested with richness<\/p>\n

They are tested with richness and they passed; they spent out of his wealth; \u00a0gave in charity to the poor and the needy. He wasn\u2019t \u00a0arrogant<\/p>\n

So, Dr, in accordance with Islamic Law, the term ibtila\u2019 <\/em>doesn\u2019t mean punishment, does it?<\/p>\n

Certainly not!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the popular meaning which is negative<\/p>\n

Good! \u201cWe are ever putting mankind to the test\u201d<\/strong> (Al-Mu\u2019minun<\/a> 23:30) The reason for our existence is to be put to the test<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cHe who created death and life to test you as to which of you is best in deed – and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving .\u201d <\/strong>(Al-Mulk<\/a> 67:2)<\/p>\n

The Prophets had been tested and passed, and it was never a punishment, but rather a test<\/p>\n

So back to the hadith <\/em>we began with our Doctor,<\/p>\n

\u201cThe greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allah loves a people He tests them. \u201c (Ibn Majah)<\/p>\n

First of all sir, \u00a0no one on earth will ever smell the fragrance of Paradise until they are put to test<\/p>\n

It was asked: should we ask Allah for trials or for establishment in strength? Strength in regards to money, knowledge, position,<\/p>\n

Health, a big house, a high income, etc. So, should we ask Allah for what: trials or establishment in strength?<\/p>\n

The answer was: you will not be established in strength until you are tested<\/p>\n

To shed more light on this, you may hate exams that you take in college, which is all about \u00a0tests and exams<\/p>\n

Can one earn a Ph.D. without\u00a0 examination? \u00a0Those who didn\u2019t read a book, for example, flirting with girls in college<\/p>\n

Should this earn a Ph.D.? \u00a0Without examination! Therefore, one cannot get to paradise without trials<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Prophets are the most severely tested of the people. And I – the noble and generous Prophet, peace be upon him \u2013am the most severely tested of them\u201d<\/p>\n

Then the righteous, then the most righteous . Man is tried according to the their religion<\/p>\n

Can this be life? An easy life! A big house! A high income! Mixed-gender soirees! Cars!<\/p>\n

A summer in a mountain here and there! Swimming! That\u2019s all!<\/p>\n
