What’s God’s plan for us?
Why did God create us?
What is our purpose in life?
Is there life after death?
Is Islam a complete way of life?
Should we question God about His will for us?
Does surrendering to the will of God contradict the concept of free will?
Are we held accountable for our actions and choices?
Who is in complete control of this universe?
Who is watching us all the time?
We read in the Quran what means:
Allah does not wish to impose hardship upon you. Rather, He wishes to purify you; and to complete His blessings upon you; and in order that you may be thankful. (Al-Ma’idah 5:6)
Say: ‘Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our Lord, Helper and Protector’ and in Allah let the believers put their trust. (At-Tawbah 9:51)
It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error. (Al-Ahzab 33:36)
But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission. (An-Nisaa’ 4:65)
And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a doer of good – then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allah will be the outcome of [all] matters. (Luqman 31:22)
And when the believers saw the companies, they said, “This is what Allah and His Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth.” And it increased them only in faith and acceptance. (Al-Ahzab 33:22)
Amr ibn Absah reported: A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is Islam?” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “That you surrender your heart to Allah and that the Muslims are safe from your tongue and hand.”
