What Is the Ruling of Reciting Adhkar after the Sunnah Prayers?

Reciting Adhkar after the Sunnah Prayers

Question:

If we do our adhkar (after each obligatory prayer) After I finish the obligatory prayers then we stand up for the sunnah prayer, do we have to recite the adhkar again after the sunnah prayer

Answer:

In the name of Allah, we praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.

The Sunnah is for the Muslim to say after every obligatory prayer, whether he prayed as an imam (leader) or behind an imam or on his own. Thauban said, Whenever Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) finished his prayer, he used to say after asking Allah’s forgiveness three times: “O Allah, You are as-Salam (One Free from every defect), and as-Salam (safety from every evil) is (sought) from You. Blessed are You, O Possessor of glory and honour.” (Muslim)

In another hadith, Ka`b ibn `Ujrah narrated that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: “There are certain ejaculations, the repeaters of which or the performers of which after every prescribed prayer will never be caused disappointment:” Glory be to Allah” thirty-three times.” Praise be to Allah” thirty-three times, and” Allah is most Great” thirty-four times.” (Muslim)
