Our Duty towards the Beloved Prophet

Our Duty towards the Beloved Prophet

On this blessed night, it is incumbent upon every Muslim, man and woman,

to respond to what Al-Mustafa (Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) when he asked us in his saying:

“Send a great deal of prayers upon me on Fridays and Fridays’ nights. Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him ten times in return.”

He (peace be upon him) also said: “Allah has a special angel to whom he has granted the ability to hear the whole creation. Thus, there is no person who confers blessings upon me except that this angel conveys to me the blessings of this person. And I requested my Lord to confer ten blessings upon whoever confers one blessing upon me.”

At-Tabarani reported on the authority of `Ammar ibn Yasser (may Allah be pleased with him):

Thus, on these nights, the Muslim should busy yourself with sending a great deal of prayers upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his family. And it is a way to express gratitude to our prophet (peace be upon him) and part of our obligation, o brothers and sisters, towards him

It is our duty towards a generous, beloved, and great prophet (peace be upon him)

Who, for me and for you, endured all these hardships to lead us, out of darkness into light.

By his efforts, Allah has rescued us from the darkness of disbelief and brought us into the light of guidance

From hell into a paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth

A believer, the true lover of his prophet (peace be upon him),

– out of gratitude- would spend that night sending peace and blessings on their prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family)

Up to the morning of that night, one should send more and more of prayers upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family)

Such a believer and true lover would engage in sending peace and blessings on Al-Mustafa (peace be upon him) as a sign of their love of him

May peace and blessings be upon him and his family

Wherever they are, and at all times

Of these times are Fridays and Fridays’ nights
