If All Religions Teach Good Things, Why Should I Follow Islam Only?

By Editorial Staff

If you study most of the religions you find they all teach good things-not to rob, not to cheat, not to rape, etc. So, if all the religions teach good things, why should a person only follow Islam? Can he/she not follow any of the religions?

Also, what is special about Islam as a religion? Isn’t Islam just a religion such as all other religions?

Yes, we agree that most of the religions teach goodness basically, but the difference in Islam is that Islam shows you a way of how to achieve the state of goodness. How is this practically achieved?

When God says, for example, “As for the thief, both male and female, cut off their hands. It is the reward of their own deeds, an exemplary punishment from Allah. Allah is Mighty, Wise” (Al-Ma’idah 5:38), what does this mean?

To learn the whole answer to this misconception watch the video below from Dr. Zakir Naik…
