Muslims believe that whatever befalls them is from God and they accept it believing that God will reward them for facing difficulties with patience and contentment. We read in the Quran:
Say, “Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector.” And upon Allah let the believers rely. (At-Tawbah 9:51)
After the outbreak of Coronavirus best known as (COVID 19), Health World Organization (WHO) declared a state of emergency.
In order to avoid being infected with Coronavirus, we offer you some healthy tips.
1- Wash your both hands thoroughly and frequently for 10-15 seconds.
Fortunately, Muslims are ordered to perform wudu five times a day before offering the obligatory prayers. The parts that should be washed are the hands, the mouth, the nose, the face, and the feet.
2- Don’t touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
3- Don’t get into contact with infected people.
4- If a state of emergency is declared, you have to follow the regulations.
5- If congregational and Friday prayers are suspended, you have to abide by the regulations.
6- Don’t leave homes. If you feel sick, get proper medical treatment. Don’t go out until you are fully recovered.
7- When you cough or sneeze, you have to cover it with a tissue.
8- Wear a facemask if you are sick.
9- Practice social distancing. Don’t shake hands or hug others. When you meet others, just offer the official greeting of salam.
10- Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider.
11- Reduce the spread of the coronavirus. If you are an employee, work from home if it is possible. Kids may not go to school and practice e-learning.
